
Payroll Services is responsible for paying the 1,600-plus salaried and
430-plus substitute employees who work for the SCCOE. The department also:
- Keeps up-to-date on all bargaining unit contracts and changes that apply
to payroll
- Reports accurate information to both retirement systems, Public Employees
Retirement System and State Teachers Retirement System
- Calculates and coordinates employee benefits with SDI (State Disability
Insurance) when employee is disabled due to a non-work-related incident
- Monitors correct sick leave and vacation balances
- Audits accurate employee attendance
- Completes employment verification forms
- Calculates classified employee seniority used for layoff purposes
- Responds to employees’ questions regarding their pay

Payroll must receive this form with an original signature and date signed
before we can update the employee’s record. Please be sure to specify the
payroll this change is to affect on the upper right-hand corner of the form.
If this change is to temporarily claim exempt, a second form must also
be submitted indicating how and when to change the withholdings back.

Payroll must receive this form with each line completed and with an original
signature by May 15th. Only permanent Aides, OSS or OTBS employees on
pro-rated calendars are eligible to complete this form.
