Categorical and Special Projects serves target schools and districts in the implementation of various supplemental
and special projects including California Distinguished Schools, state and federal categorically funded programs,
new teacher intern support, School Site Council training, Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC),
Tobacco Use and Prevention Education (TUPE) grants, and Fit for Learning Program.
Support is also provided in the implementation of the Williams Settlement and Charter School
Instructional Program Oversight.
