Assessment and Accountability
The Assessment and Accountability Department works with the SCCOE and with schools, districts and the public to provide professional guidance in the collection, reporting, and use of student achievement information to improve schools and to increase academic achievement for all students.
AccountabilityStudent performance on federal and state criteria is reported in context of the No Child Left Behind Act (2002) and the Public Schools Accountability Act (1999). The department also assists schools with communicating accountability information to their constituents through the School Accountability Report Card (SARC).
